portable pre-amp homemade

This is a portable pre-amp I build with reloadable battery built-in and it has a charger you can plug in when coming back home after the show to reload your battery. The pre-amp is specially designed to be robust and light, with a nice metal box, for cigar box guitars piezos and pickups, so you can get a great sound to send into your amplifier. The pre-amp have an input for the guitar, an output for the cable going to your amplifier, and also an output for a headphone ! When using the headphone you can play without disturbing anyone and you don't need your big amplifier, still you will get the great sound coming out from your lovely cigar box guitar :-) There is also a on/off switch so you can save your high quality battery when needed and it will last a very long time. The power plug is a special one so you will not confuse with anyother cables you may already have. I have some in stock that I can sell, and I often build some electronics for friends, so if you need one of these, feel free to send me a message.

  • If someone is in need I can also swap for a reasonable item and will study every offers :-)
  • Hi Wesley, it works with its own 9v battery (reloadable) so yes, it will work with just everything else because it will not rely on other power sources. The built-in battery is a high power high quality that is expensive too if you would have to buy it by yourself. For 150 euros (+ shipping) they come with the right power source (wall plugin) for your country (110v or 220v depending on your country) so you don't need to buy anything else. Of course I assume you already have cables for the guitar, but if you don't have them you can ask me too. These pre-amps will be able to send the original sound coming out of your guitar through cables whatever long they are until it reaches an amplifier. So far the longest tests were around 15 meters, but anyway you can place other pre-amps to repeat the signal if one day you find yourself to have to cover a very long distance, they are really strong and serve very well.
