  • well the neck is like 50 year old red oak (from the attic!). i put one of teds flatbeds on it. the led message thing is just a nametag i got from when i went to a sign convention down in atlanta, its completely pragrammble i think up to 52 charachters and has 3 scrolls speeds. i think u can pick one of them up for around 15 bucks now from various online shops. its recessed into the box, and held in with a magnet. to easily access the contols and to turn the power off and on i simply glued a piece of ribbon underneath witch then sticks out from behind the mess board. kinda like getting batteries out of some devices. this is only second build so it took a little while longer than what i hoped. but i also have a 14 month old son to deal with!! but anyways! im was pleasntly surprised with the sound of this thing, it completely blows my first builds sound out of the water. now im looking for another cohiba box, i was going to sand the logo off and do a little artistic stuff to it,, so stay tuned! OOH YEAH ,,,...the box is finished with multiple coats of tung oil. the neck the same, but then applied some SC Johnson's paste wax (multiple coats). to give it a more satin look!
