Although this doesn't show it, I finally put in some markers for notes. No math, I just ran the slide to a note and when it rang (pretty much) in tune, I made a mark. After marking the notes I needed, I drilled a small pilot hole and ran screws and thumbtacks in (a dab of super glue probably wouldn't hurt)
