Close up of the pickup. (Thanks you Skeesix!) I just use a rubber band to make it easy to adjust & move around. I had planned on using just the block of wood (from a discarded dresser across the street) on the bottom of the pickup stack, but it wasn't tall enough, so I looked around and found some mousetraps and figured that would get the job done.

Yup, I don't really know if it is doing anything anymore, but I left it there anyway. I had used a 2" PVC pipe coupling for a bridge and it would buzz when I really whangned on the string (plastic was too soft, I guess), so I tried putting the cloth between the coupling & the screws to hold it in place, but that didn't work. I got the metal coupling & that seemed to clean it up, but I left the cloth there just to be sure.
