This is my next build. It will be a 3 string. The parents of a good friend of mine moved into town last year. They had a estate sale and I picked up this box and some of the wood flooring before they burned down the homestead. I researched the name on the lid and it turns out to be H.D. Lee who was the founder of Lee jeans. I will add brass grommets and electronics. The neck is made of the flooring, long leaf pine probably 100 yrs old. I painted it black then distressed it, rubbed on tru oil then lacquer.The fret board will be fret less and dyed green to match the box. It is also distressed.
