Thanks, Paul. I make the dots by drilling multiple plugs in a block of wood with a 3/8-inch plug cutter -stopping short off cutting all the way through, then I slice them to the proper depth by running the block through the table saw. The strips are just strips I cut & laminated. I build the fingerboards by laminating whatever size strips of 3/4-inch thick stock, then after glue-up & planing, I rip them to 1/4-inch thick for the fret board blanks.

Nice job, beautiful way you've combined maple and walnut. Where did you find the maple dots and strips,? or how did you make them? Very impressive!
