I make the dots by drilling multiple plugs in a block of wood with a 3/8-inch plug cutter -stopping short off cutting all the way through, then I slice them to the proper depth by running the block through the table saw. The strips are just strips I cut & laminated. I build the fingerboards by laminating whatever size strips of 3/4-inch thick stock, then after glue-up & planing, I rip them to 1/4-inch thick for the fret board blanks.306130900?profile=original

  • Nice job, beautiful way you've combined maple and walnut. Where did you find the maple dots and strips,? or how did you make them?  Very impressive!
