On the bigger box, I'm thinking about a bolt-on neck. Since that means cutting into the top as well as the side, that'll eliminate a lot of those concerns. For the smaller box, I'll just see how it turns out when I cut the opening for the neck. I can usually come up with a detail trim to accentuate a curved joint when I'm doing curved moldings and such. This is similar, but just different enough to be a challenge - and that's half the fun to me.
Beautiful boxes, but those curved tops are a pain to deal with. I made a git out a box like the one on the left. Sounds good but I dont have the skills to match the visual with the aural. I look forward to seeing what you do with 'em!
