Thanks, Dan. It's not a "real" biding, just a fret board I laminated to look that way -hence the "faux binding" description. If I were to do it the real way -and with wood- I'd probably just cut it to size/rip it thin on the table saw. I just made up a few more of these in both walnut/maple & maple/walnut configurations.
Thank you. Yeah, the neck is very comfortable on this one. I think it's my new main git, at least until another comes along. ...Someday, I'd like to build one with a REAL binding! :-)

I love the binding! I've used the plastic tortoise-shell binding before, but I really like the look of the wood. How did you cut it to size?
