  • The trick to using these bridges is to get the neck at the right height so that the action is not too high. You want the strings pretty close to the fingerboard. You have got to get the neck pocket to be a perfect fit because when using these type of adjustable bridges, you see the neck under the fretboard and if it does not fit tight, you'll have unsightly gaps. The neck angle is also critical to good action and playability. I actually use wood and fill the gap under the neck in the pocket making a thin shim...
