With my tax return this past February, I bought a couple of six-strings, and I also bought a clip-on tuner. Now I can tell you that it's tuned roughly to GDG. I say roughly because the eyebolt tuners make it difficult to be precise. None of the strings are exactly on the note, but they're close, and more importantly, tuned to each other.
Um, it's an open tuning, but what particular one I can't say. I've never been able to figure out the cheap tuner that came with the cheap guitar my parents bought me, so I tune by ear. I get satisfactory (to me) results, but I have no idea whether it's DAD, GDG, AEA, or whatever. And not being musically inclined, I couldn't tell you what any of those notes were.
