Does adding the wood bracing to the box change the sound, or dampen the sound? Also is it necessary to take the box apart? Just asking b/c I don't know.

Out of intrest how are you joining the neck to the box body?? by the looks of your photos its just an extra bit
of wood at the bottom of the box.
Do you sit the neck on that and then do you use a plate and screws at back ??
If so how strong is this ? and what about the neck bending at the join ????
