Hey JUJU, just finished my Hula Girl Diddly box #18. Thought you may like the idea. I've just posted several photos of her. Check em out if you wish. ... Dave ... and the Teisco works great.
Hi dave i'm not trying to tell you what to do it's just the old Tiasco pickups fetch a pretty penny these days there well sought after by collectors
yep the Ted Crocker Down under pickups are no doubt good i also make a similar type of pickup too i call mine the drop top and i can usually have them made within one - two weeks heres the link to my websitei have a pickup shop - so if you ever need any pickups making drop me a line :)
Well JUJU, all I have so far are old 6 string single coil and humbucker pickups. I haven't tried making my own oners yet. It looks like fun though. I just tilt my pickups to align with the strings more or less. I'm just trying stuff out. I use the thousand monkeys principal. I'm only on #18. I've ordered a great 4 string pickup (the Down Under) by Cocker. It's taking a long time to come. I suppose he's very busy with orders. Those babies sure look sweet. Your pickups look even sweeter. I'm into my varnish job on the new diddly. The good wood is showing off. More pics soon. Still gotta do my taxes tomorrow.
Nice one Dave them old Tiasco pickups are great but i think it's a waste of a good pickup using it on a one string but thats just my opinion - be sure to post some pics when it's finished :)
I'm making a diddly bow. Just glued up the top. I'm using a Tiasco pickup. Not quite a JUJU. But mine will have certain other features that will make it interesting. We'll have to wait and see.
