Thanks Pick. And yes Unc, I like it the way it is too. I may just end up finishing it off with oil and leave it natural. It will depend on what it's intended recipient wants in the end.
im working on a personal build right now im in florida and building a fl lp reso i plan to do a lot of pyro stuff in the idea of "smoke house" album covers but use a lighter color
i like it but depending on the wood type you could danish oil it gives it a nice subtle orange tone course thats just me im experimenting a lot with the pyro stuff right now all those years as a welder i reckon

I'm actually thinking about dark walnut stain. The customer wants it pretty dark but still wants to be able to see the grain and burn marks.
