Work in progress.Today I cut out the hole for the amplifier and installed it.I'm nearly there, just need to wait for the little mahogany frame that will sit round the amp unit that will make it look a lot neater. I've also got to print onto acetate the newly designed control panel that is going to sit over the nasty old amp.

Bill - Thanks for that. Hopefully after I've added the frame round the unit and added the redesigned control panel, it will look a lot better.
Wes - It sounds okay considering it's only a cheap practice amp. I've connected it up to the existing speaker and then to the amp's speaker, and to tell the truth I'm not sure which I prefer. I would say the original has a slightly harsher sound than the newer one. I might record them both and post the videos here to see what the Nation of Cigar Box say.
