I had a gig at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for 7 years as "The Gnome Wizard". I loved being in costume and making pots and gnomes and being with like minded crazies and people having fun. It was a tough commute and never made a lot of money at it. Our shop, The Gnome Wizard shop had a rebuild by Jan and i that looked rather like my little porch project, only timber frame front on it that took all summer to build. I think i look more the part now than i ever did then.
