this three string acoustic has a book matched spalted sycamore top with cherry burl grommets around the sound holes. The neck is jatoba (Brazilian cherry). The bowl is spalted maple.It just so happened that the pattern of the spalting made the "Old Man" you see near the middle. Blind luck will beat skill any day.This one is heading over to the UK with me. It'll probably end up staying over there with a friend of mine.
