Oily's Build 2

My son's CBG, Build No. 2. Same as Build 1: 3/8" lauan plywood, 1/2" pine stretchers and corner supports, Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Glue, and Torx screws. Once I glued and screwed the plywood to the supports, the box came alive, and resonates musically when tapped on all sides. Stiffening the box this way helped in the same way tone bars and fan or X-bracing improves the resonance of a standard guitar soundboard. BTW, box dimensions on Builds 1 and 2, without the top on, are 12" long, 10-1/4" wide, and 2-3/4" deep / tall. Adding a framed hinged top, the box will be about 3-1/2 to 3-3/4" deep / tall.
