Oily's Braided Cotton Guitar Straps 2

My first 10 braided guitar straps, made from 2 Ace Hardware 3/8" 30 m (100 ft) cotton clothesline rolls. The ones at the back look darker, because I soaked 'em in hot water with 10 Orange Pekoe / Black Lipton teabags for 24 hours, then dried 'em outside in the sun. Teabagger Straps, anyone? The stained glass is from a geologist / artist friend, and the gecko wall plate came from Santa Fe, New Mexico, where my uncle, who died last summer, was an artist.

  • Thanks! It IS a lizard wall switch plate. We picked up several of these the last time we visited my artist uncle in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The reason for that is that we had a run-in with a huge persistent gecko when we were on vacation in Bali last spring - so gecko references have become one of the family in-jokes.
