My first build... 5 strings, with the highest strings doubled-up, tuned to "double-D" > D A D EE (lowest to highest), with a chopstick bridge simulating a sitar bridge, and a fork tailpiece. good fun.

That's wild, man. I spent just over an hour last night listening to and searching for videos of Ravi Shankar and Vilayat Khan. I don't know, even with the chopstick bridge you mentioned, if you were specifically going for that classical Eastern sound, but you got it.

rad ... thanks for the nice words. i made some tweaks last night like finessing the bridge a bit, cutting some sound holes, and, of course, making it electric. but yeah, i'll be happy to upload some sound samples as soon as possible -- barely had a chance to even play the thing at all so far.
Looks very sharp. :) Seriously though, I love the head and neck work. There seems to be quite a few of us using Padron boxes for our first builds. Any chance you could record a sound sample? I'm very curious about the double string sound on this.
