Started installing a new tool for my shop. I scored this planer from a friend. He only wants a little of my help rebuilding an electric chisel in return for it. This unit is really heavy duty and came with a 3/4hp motor. It has a three blade drum and both tables are adjustable, except I see someone locked the outfeed table in place. I can remove the screw and install a handwheel lock like the infeed side. The blades were still sharp when I tried it out. This will be a great addition to my little finish planer I've been overworking.

These blades can be sharpened many times by the looks of them. Most of these old time planers were designed to be user servicable. There are some good you tube vids on sharpening them. Pretty basic stuff really just need to take the time to do it right.
