  • I sure hope I can find a fret crowning file or tool in Campbell River tomorrow, I was in Naniamo yesterday and couldn't find one. I know I can order one on line but it would be nice to have it now. I'm doing my new frets by hand with very small hand files but it is labourious and probably not as consistent in smoothness.
  • You guessed right! I think I paid $12.00 for my dremel tool. They also had a cheap kit with extra blades, stones, burrs, drills and buffing wheels for $10.00. Just cheap stuff but I don't work it too hard so it lasts.
  • looking good, I knew you were from Canada just from the type of dremal tool showing in this photo, I have the same one from Crappy Tire and it works better than some of the brand name ones out there. I think I paid $10.00 for mine, new.
  • So far it has held up fine, there is a fair amount of surface area there that is bonded. Time will tell I guess but I've got faith in it. The rest of the neck is rock solid with a flatbar truss rod.
  • Now that is a different headstock, is that the first one you built that way. How does it hold up undertension.
