My first creation sporting it's new frets. I made them out of coat hanger wire and inletted them into the fretboard. Used Weldbond glue to secure them. I've leveled them but need to crown them now. They still sound great already!

I sure hope I can find a fret crowning file or tool in Campbell River tomorrow, I was in Naniamo yesterday and couldn't find one. I know I can order one on line but it would be nice to have it now. I'm doing my new frets by hand with very small hand files but it is labourious and probably not as consistent in smoothness.
You guessed right! I think I paid $12.00 for my dremel tool. They also had a cheap kit with extra blades, stones, burrs, drills and buffing wheels for $10.00. Just cheap stuff but I don't work it too hard so it lasts.
looking good, I knew you were from Canada just from the type of dremal tool showing in this photo, I have the same one from Crappy Tire and it works better than some of the brand name ones out there. I think I paid $10.00 for mine, new.
So far it has held up fine, there is a fair amount of surface area there that is bonded. Time will tell I guess but I've got faith in it. The rest of the neck is rock solid with a flatbar truss rod.
