Made this Canjo today and making a few adjustments without losing her cool sounds!I gotta restring it after learning that lol also might make more space fro strings running through holes in can and make either a bridge or nut on the front lip of the coffee can where the strings are in full contact? Broke a thin gauge string so these are some guitar strings. A hinge I had. A stick I had. I also do not know hot to install tuners yet. Decided not to run stick through can. I love that you can't "do it wrong"! If you see stuff I can tweak or change or try on the next one please let me know!

Everything has a beginning & end, if you only have an end, then where is the beginning? Not to mention it will never properly intonate? Here’s an article on scale length:
Fun so far haha! Might head in to Home Depot today or some thrift or antique stores...really feel like that sound bucket would make my lady sing! She is shy but likes a good bass! I do not know how to "correctly" string these tuners...tie a knot? Overlap the string on the tuner shaft? The tuners went in OK I guess...but the two part threaded ones are tough to make happen. (I have all kinds of "weird" guitar parts mostly from Amazon before I knew about this world!) I will file and drill the can today and see how it changes the sound. I do a pretty good job documenting anything I make with photos and videos but now I "need" an audio recording device for sound clips lol! Both the books I have are really good help when I am making something and I am like... where does the nut go? Maybe I move it. Does it NEED to have a nut? Why? Why NOT?! Haha!
