Interesting find! Sounds like a fun one. My parents bought me an Ovation guitar back in 1979 or 1980 that had an aluminum fingerboard with raised frets (probably formed or milled out in between.) I loved the tone of that old guitar but my son "borrowed" it about ten years ago......I guess he figures it's his now!
lol cheers bud. the stuff in the background is quite erm..... ill tell ya. found 4 bits of odd looking wood in a skip. brought them home and realised it was a full guitar. mahogany. the neck was broke at the heal. so i fixed it up. went online to find the name. turns out its a bond electraglide. only they were all made of carbon fiber. so as it turns out this is one of only three i know of made of wood, so im taking my time finding/ building all the parts. i hadto make the fretboard. its an odd angle as the original (online) didnt have frets. but carbon fiber steps!
