Birthing this baby wasn't easy. Broke 3 strings. Changed the tailpiece to an old mandolin relic. Added side position dots by drilling and filling with glue and cedar sawdust. Sanding. Varnish coat. Stringing a second time. Tune and setup on nut and bridge. Solve mystery whining on two strings. Finally she's sounding good. Also canabalized a three string for two tuners to complete all 4. Sometimes it goes easy. Then there's days like today. Thanks for the nice words.
I use the same principle inside my gits, but I cut out about half of the thickness of the stick about an inch from both ends, don't know if it has any effect on the sound (have not compared) but it gives the build a bit less weight of course. I think your build is very nice and hope to listen!
