I just finished my first CBG project. This is a 22" scale, fully fretted neck with a piezo pickup mounted under the lid near the bridge. I built the neck by laminating pieces of wood together to create the headstock. It's a poplar neck with a red oak fretboard. I created the small cigar box amp to go with it. I call it the "American Willie" because of the box brand and because I added a flattened penny with Willie Nelson on it near the bridge. It is a through-the-body string set up. I put four strings on it, and tune it like a conventional guitar. I'm lovin' it, and already looking forward to the next!
