  Well you have gotten me totally inspired...went to the local takeout up the bay and asked them for a tomato can...(empty) and of course I had to tell them about cigar box gitrs and stuff so now I have the starting of my first Canjo...

  

  It measures 6" in diameter and about 8"high...could have a neat sound...now out to the beach to find a finger board...havin way too much fun.

  I don't think taking the paper off would reall make that much of a difference in the sound. Itsounds great just the way it is.

  lol, yep I think whole ones would have been more dense and muted the sound a bit!!!...seriously do you think it would sound better with the paper off???

  thats cool! see you plummed for the chopped italian tomato as apposed to the whole. is this a tonal thing? :0)
