Hi Brian,
Yep, the Dremel works just great and is very handy. I am just using the plans right from this site. Downloaded them and printed them out. For my first one I am following the plans (mostly... it IS a CBG afterall) and making it a 3 string fretless and I plan to add the piezo pickup. I'll try frets on my next one.
I was careful on the side holes. So far, so good. It fits together perfectly. The poplar is so nice to work with it is almost like carving soap.
I'm waiting on some tuning pegs I bought off ebay so I can figure out how to drill and install them as the next challenge.
Looks good to me. A Dremel is most useful. It looks as though you have a typed up "manual" for making it?
Cut those holes in the side carefully.
What string length have you chosen? How many strings? Fretted?
