  • I don't know about that neck, man. I think the body looks way too good for it.

Amazing job for a first time out, bro.
  • Thanks........... There is so much great info on this sight. It sure helps when I'm not "flying while blind"..... A lot of great influences, and ideas to be had from a lot of talented CBG'r'z.............
  • Awesome !!! My first build sure didn't look like THAT !! Great job ...
  • Hi Ted. Thanks for the compliment on the detail. I carved most of this out over the weekend with a fingernail file to make sure that it came out as perfect a fit as possible..... Hows that cut finger by the way? The pick up? A friend passed on a "SCHATTEN DESIGN" overwound (10,000 windings) ALNICO V MAGNETS, 42 AWG POLY-COATED PICKUP WIRE custom that he was going to build and then dropped the project ( my next build will be with a Stone Henge, Tiny Guitar calls them a "work of art" ). I took a plastic mounting ring for a humbucker, cut it down and turned it sideways, fits perfect. Yes the bridge, are singles for a base. The three string width will be a little off as they are 9/16 th inches wide, but will set the hight setting on the lowest, and custom a white bone nut directly in front of the bass bridge to get the correct string width.... Like I mentioned, this is my first build so it's all trial and error at this point... Any input or suggestions will be greatly appreciated... I already have the box, neck and parts for the "Gold" that I'm doing next after this one (this ones all in Silver hardware), thus the second harness order from you a couple of weeks ago... Thanks again for checking it out. TB, Pensacola
  • Thanks for the compliment. It's my first, thanks to the inspiration from Shane Speal, Ted Crocker, Keni Lee, and a special thanks to Josh Gayou at Smoke House Guitars for putting up with me while custom building the necks. Can't wait to get it completed and plugged in................ Thanks to all.......... TB
