This is a guitar I made in memory of my mother who died recently. She was an elementary school art teacher for many years. The box is made from drawing boards that her students used. They are covered in graffiti the students added, including her name. I used a ruler for the fret board and a pencil for the bridge. The head stock is a picture I cut out of an elementary school primer and shows a little boy painting. Looks a little like me when I was young. I'm going to give it to my father for his birthday. Appropriately, it is tuned DAD.
