Went to the doctor and got me a mojo hand. He said I have arthritis in the base of the thumb. Bone spurs have been growing and flaking off in the joint. Gonna be in the splint for a while. It's a good opportunity to develop the dexterity of the other four fingers. Who needs an opposable thumb anyway? LOL

Just got the picture you sent opened up or it just showed up or something. That's impressive! I can see where that would slow you down for a while.
Hey Randy. I'm glad you finally were able to get back to building and carving. Keep taking care of your hand. Once joints are injured they are often easy to re-injur. I'll be back at it soon and this will make a good story some day. Later!

Thanks Paul. The most likely fix will be surgery in a few weeks and the doctor says it is usually a very successful operation. That strap does look like a grinding wheel. It's amazing what a fresh set of eyes can see! See ya 'round the nation!
