  • I just soldered the piezo, mintyamp and my cgb speaker cab together 'cause I NEEDED to know NOW what it sounds like. (The jacks and cables will arrive Monday - at that point I'll be able to get more than 2 ft. away.) I adjusted the gain so that a heavy strum produces some distortion and it sounds pretty daggone good.

Action's too high to fret, (and my first slide is in transit with the jacks 'n cables), so I can't really play, so I think I'll put an 8" driver in a bigger wc (wine case) cabinet. I can see how this becomes either an addiction or a mania instantly! ;-)
  • Wes, Yeah, Ted's reco is why I ordered them. I'm also using his piezo bridge on my first CBG.
Fernando, I don't know. Check it out on www.mintyamps.com. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with mintyamps what-so-ever; it just looks like a great idea.
  • I don't know from personal experience yet - just received them in the mail today and took the pic. I got a good feeling from the www.mintyamps.com site demos, so I ordered two. Don't know if I want to put it in the CBG or the speaker cab. Might do both with a switch to route the signal from the piezo in the bridge so I can use either a plain speaker in a cab or a different amp as things evolve.
  • Oooo Ted likes these. How does it sound? That is, does it do the job?
