Meet Norma

Here's my next victim. I've stripped off the name sticker and "steel reinforced neck" sticker and sanded off the old honey finish. It's a beautiful solid mahogany neck under there. I sawed the top bump off the head too and shaped the sides more fan shaped.

  • Norma got over it when she saw her Faux reso cover plate. I'll post pics tomorrow. The headstock has come out good too. I think she'll look sharp Pick. Not like you've never modded a guit....

  • Sorry Pick, some Norma's are much sought after. The one i got is the bottom of their barrel. The neck is beautiful Mahogany but the body is Plywood with the flakey bottom problem. It was not easy getting the sticky label off if that's any consolation. It caused me to sand off all the neck finish. The fretboard is plywood also and the nut is plastic. The frets are all lumpy and dented though they shined up nice. It has plastic dots that are rather colorful so they will stay. Wow the Norma's you show sure are fabulous. Thanks Pick, you always have the good info.

  • sweet  ..  umm  ,,  but  i  would   have left the   norma    badge  .. norma's a great     guitar   more sought   after than regular  teiscos .
