Built this from our personal computer that I was told by a Mac Genius was "vintage" and not worth repairing. "Pre-Planned Obsolescense" I call it.

Nice, Darryl! It is quite a bit of work to get to a useable stage, but it's a pretty cool result. Taking out the screen, filling with the right amount of flooring, and making/attaching the neck were the toughest bits. Also, scratches don't come out of the anodized aluminum, so be generous in taping it up. Another thought I had was to do a theough neck and use it as a resonators not sure if it would work, but it might be fun to test it before dilling

i have a similar mac ... bought it for 125, used it for garageband, but keyboard quit working..this looks like a good way to get some use out of it
