I cut a slot in the bottle cap to make room for the wires, then I wadded up some loose cotton and packed it into the bottle cap, then put in a layer of hot glue. Then I pushed the piezo into the hot glue, about1/3 the way into the cap and let it cool. Then I filled over that with more hot glue and then also pressed it to the neck and held till it cooled. IT seemed to work well, but with any piezo in direct contact with the neck, there is going to be some handling noise. Either use it for percussion, or try and be really careful to not tap the box! First time trying the cotton, just seemed like a good idea.
Would you explain the "embedded in cotton and hot glue" process? I haven't heard of that before. I'm guessing it cuts down on handling noise &/or feedback?

Interesting. Thanks!

Awesome looking build, btw!
