That's really interesting as I love early music but could never justify buying a lute.
Just the other day I needed a wedge for something or other and I ran a bit of wood the through the bandsaw. I stacked he pieces like a scarfed neck and thought "that looks more like the neck of a lute".
Can you do a video of it being played just so that we can hear how it sounds?

I guess I can say I play now! Always wanted a lute but doesn't fit my budget! Guess this is my healthy alternative.
Do you play the lute?
