Thanks - me, too. It's kind of fussy to do, but about as simple, solid, and effective as it gets. If I had to make another one, this is what it'd look like - with a bigger box; that's about as small as I'd like to deal with: 7" x 3" x 6". We'll see what's next. I've got a 4-string octave-mandolin-ish thing in mind, to get the full range on the Irish stuff, my home ground.
The South end. Maple bridge, Bolivian rosewood knobbies and rosewood strap pin, Port Orford cedar "moon" armrest - that pointy corner was killing my arm. I'm most pleased with the brass endplate approach - everything's grounded immediately. 250k pots, .018 film cap. .040, .026, .020 wound strings.
