  • Thanks - me, too. It's kind of fussy to do, but about as simple, solid, and effective as it gets. If I had to make another one, this is what it'd look like - with a bigger box; that's about as small as I'd like to deal with: 7" x 3" x 6". We'll see what's next. I've got a 4-string octave-mandolin-ish thing in mind, to get the full range on the Irish stuff, my home ground.
  • love this build! i really like the tail plate on this one.
  • The South end. Maple bridge, Bolivian rosewood knobbies and rosewood strap pin, Port Orford cedar "moon" armrest - that pointy corner was killing my arm. I'm most pleased with the brass endplate approach - everything's grounded immediately. 250k pots, .018 film cap. .040, .026, .020 wound strings.
