    JP, This was an experiment to see if I could get a richer tone with a box bigger than a cigar box. I can't say the tone was that much of an improvement. It currently has a 6-string neck on it, so I could compare its tone to a regular guitar. Unfortunately, it doesn't compare very well; pretty thin and tinny compared to my Larrivee acoustic. I think you need a much bigger and deeper box to get a rich sound. Doug

    What a great build you have there. I thought about slicing a top out of fir. Looks like you sliced it nice and thin. How does it sound?
