Latest old guitar turned slide.

  • Thanks Blind Lemon, I'm starting to rehab an Oahu lap slide square neck today. It's very old and full of cracks and needed bracework. It's coming around. A snowstorm is keeping me from my porch workshop. I had my sander out for a while, but the blowing snow stopped me. .... :^( ,,,,,
  • Real nice Dave! I'm working on a Harmony 1270, hope to have strings later this week.

  • Thanks Wes, thanks Pick. Couldn't stop playing her last night.
  • NICE!!!!

  • Really nice Dave!

  • I forgot to mention that due to only 5 strings for now, i discovered a new open tuning that sounds great. It's based on C6th but using notes that are easy on the strings and the tuners. I got a standard set of 10 gauge acoustic strings. The tuning is CEGce. Like C6th in the low CEG and two of the top string (without the A). It plays "Mocking Bird Hill" automatically using open, 5th and 7th. This guitar sounds great with 5 strings.
