Got her in the mail yesterday a good summer side project. Needs work, lots of work. Pup still works though I was shocked given its condition, not a cbg but I still cool.

Took off the plate looks like an original, also seen the biggest cap EVER on a pot its the size of my pinky finger. The slide idea is a great option,,, with the look of the board might be my only option.
That's a cool idea, and a neat look. I got to put a couple tuners on and make a temp set up bridge, so I can check the fretboard as it seems to have a dive at the 12th fret. The frets are whipped hard, almost flat in places, I hope I can bring her back up, and at least kick out some Ramones tunes on her.
i converted mine to a 3 stringer and added a steam ounk look . and used the strap latch off an old trunk for a cover .. (theres just a smalll door hinge under it anchoring the strings
Thanks guys, finding the bridge cover has been an issue. I bought one from China but when I got it, realized that the bridge sat in front of the cover, not over it. I've been eyeballin bass covers but they look kinda big for it, and tele's don't have the shape and aint big enough. So with my massive gitty budget (Bahaha) its looking like it might be a mod project.

Got her frets cleaned up, filled, sanded, primed, and first base coat painted. Gonna be cranberry on the outside and leather brown in,,, I hope :).
