Great old Kay from the 60s. I changed out the pickup with a Gretch single coil lap steel pup. I'm afraid i did in the old pup when i took it off to refinish her. The old pup had foam under it that turned to tar over the years. I had to pry on it and slice it off. That pulled the top off the base plate and pulled out the wires.

Thanks Penny, i just took her for a ride tonight at our usual Monday jam. She is one sweet girl. I mostly played bass runs and simple melodies to join in the song circle. I think i'm in love...
Thanks Craig. I love these odd old guitars. Their sound is magical to me. Bringing one back to life after screwing up and murdering it saves one's day.... Each one is my new favorite....
