Here's a sample that was shot with 3 coats of satin spar polyurethane - no stain at all. The pic doesn't do it justice. The iridescence of this wood has to be seen to be believed. If you turn it in the light, all of the dark streaks will turn light, and all of the light streaks turn dark. It just glows. Truly great looking and fun to work.

Thats what ironwood does too...reminds me of those old crackerjack prizes that when you moved it the image would move....lol
