Ooh, engraving bits... This is my first attempt cutting a design with a Dremel. Maybe I should just find some wood chisels and do it by hand. It's either that or make a template so my Dremel doesn't skate around all over the place.
I bought a sheet of scrap lace leather to do similar inlays. I have a set of sharp chisels and I use both an engraving bit and drum sander on my Dremel tool. Spiral cutter too. It is a pain, but worth the efforts.

you can get better cutters for your dremel looks good!

Routed the head out with a dremel and made a leather moon for the inset. Dremeling a moon was very difficult - I'll have to find a better way.
