Hey Jeff, if you haven't already found it, Turtlehead( CBN member) made a video a while back of "Ripple" by the Grateful Dead, and he tabbed it out for GDGb tuning. There was a discussion a while back about the lack of 4 string tabs and lessons, and Turtlehead came through with a good one.
I use DGBE, but my fave for tone is GDGB. If you already pay GDG, just start off by almost forgetting the B string - hit it when you want some high notes - then add the 2 finger chords C, D7 and one finger Em - which would be about the same as on your DGBE. If you need help, contact me.
Thanks John, you have set me a challenge now to practice something to play for you, I have mostly played my 3 string to date but have brought my 4 string away with me this time, I will get back to you when I have something worth a video. It dose sound a lot fuller than the 3 string, and seems to chime when playing a progression of chords. I have tuned it to DGBE. (Standard guitar)
Cover over creative causes me to laminate my headstock often. Don't you just hate those chip outs. I've learned to get around that by drilling a guide hole. A small hole. Then a Forstner bit of the correct size going only half way in. Then using the guide hole drilling from the other side. This works. Anyhow, the fix it laminates are a way out of trouble that adds beauty.
Thanks Dave, truth be told the brass on the headstock covers up a blunder. I chose different tuners to what I had drilled out before finishing with French Polish and the wood chipped out when I re-drilled for the new tuners, forced me to get over creative.

High 9s. Tell us about it. How does it play and sound. Plus, half the battle and challenge is covering mistakes.
Nice. I'm using the same box on my current build.
