Heh hee Jim, wife knows always the best. Should ask her first ;) Bet it was great bike! I'we seen some nice restored Jawas... awesome.
Uncle John, it ain't too late to make a wish come true ;)
About this git... I found this box on the swap market last spring. It was totally rusted but after paintwork I'm really satisfied with this. I use heavier string set as usually. Great rich tones even unplugged :) Have you seen this sistermodel Jawamatic on my photos?
A couple of years ago, I came within a mm of buying a brand new, ground-up restoration of a '73 Jawa 350. It was amazing- nicer than the day it rolled off the assembly line. For good or ill, however, I came to my senses (according to my wife ; ) and passed on it.

Great, original, thinking outside-of-the-box, piece. Nice!

I like it. I remember being a teenager and wishing for a Jawa.
