Thank you Bob. My friend James Millinchuk built this CBG. He is a professional guitar builder who has built instruments for Sting and Springsteen. This overlay was a scrap from the material Jimmy used on Springsteen's guitar. Jimmy also reused a bone saddle, that he had to replace off of Sting's guitar, on my 6 string parlor. Jimmy doesn't waste anything. Enjoy
The headstock overlay might be tortoise, but I believe it is some form of mother-of toilet seat. LOL But...the builder, James Millinchuk has clients that include Sting and Bruce Springsteen. This piece of overlay was left over scrap material used in building Bruce's guitar. Thank you for asking. Enjoy
