Confession time: I set the bridge a little too close to the neck. Its less of a problem with a lap steel but the saddles are as far back as I can get them.As my Dad says " Measure twice, cut once!" Doooh! — at Lima City.

The front Box is simply held in place by brackets and hinges. I can convert this back to a guitar at any stage! The sound is actually very good from the Telecaster set. I have no idea what they are from but surprisingly decent quality

I have that exact same pickup set up that I want to use. I just need to find another six string neck. I hadn't thought of a lap steel.
