25” scale four string tenorThe headstock is Brazilian gumm wood recycled from a pallet. The face of the headstock is book/sequence matched birds eye maple burl veneer.The through body neck is Ipe wood (harder than stone).Heel caps, neck end cap and fretboard(s) are all ebony.Gold fret wire.Brass fret markers.Gold shiny box corners.Gold output jack plate.Gold sound hole cover.Gold string rollers.Modified gold Gibson style mandolin string tailpiece (or whatever ya want to call it)Tuners are gold Gotoh.Bone nuts and bridge.The body is a maple box I made and laminated with only two pieces of book/sequence matched violin grade maple veneer. The veneer was cut and applied using a “waterfall” veneer pattern (i.e. All the edges on the body are either a continuous match or a book/sequence match).The wiring harness is a rod piezo with a UK2000 preamp.Finally, the gitty was finished using Emtech 6000 water born gloss lacquer. I sprayed on over half a Canadian gallon of that gorp before I got the build-up I was looking for. Took me the better part of a day and 6 beers to complete the hand rubbing!
