The neck heel continues through and is the point the tailpiece bolts to. As far as the tin, I usually JB weld a piece of aluminum stock around the edge of the face. Seems to be plenty strong.
Really beautiful. How do you deal with the string tension? How is the tin and neck braced?
Genius way to anchor the fifth string without a tuning peg sticking up in your face!!!!!
