For starters, the box is made from reclaimed 1 x 4 cedar from last summers carpentry job. Then I use 1/8 oak ply for the top and back. Stained with dark walnut and a red oak neck. Bridge made from mahogany and string tree from a piece of 1/4 copper tubing. I use roll pins in the tail stop. I started making all my guitars with removeable necks. You can see the 4 screws holding it in. The box dimensions I use are 9.5 x 12. I also space the neck away from the top to give more resonance and volume. I had the old brass keyhole covers I used for a couple sound holes. Makes her look pretty! Lastley, a couple hinges, clasp and brass corners to finish it off. Tung oil finish. This one has great intonation (for a cbg) and sounds very banjo-ish!! I love this gittybox and it is sold already so I'm workin on one for myself! Thanks for all the input, and check out the 2 videos of me playin this sweetheart.
